Richard Rudis, a preeminent figure in sound healing known to many as Karma Sonam Dorje, passed away on April 2, 2024. Richard created the first original Gong Bath experience more than 20 years ago and performed more than 1,000 gong baths globally, spreading mindfulness and loving-kindness throughout the world. He performed regularly at the Theosophical Society and we will greatly miss his peaceful and generous presence. Benjamin Savage, Richard’s friend and apprentice for more than a decade, will perform a 60-minute Gong Bath in his style. Proceeds will go to support Richard’s surviving family and help publish his final book.

Please join us in celebrating Richard’s work and honor his legacy in sound healing.

Location: 1926 N. Main Street, Wheaton, IL

Benjamin SavageBenjamin Savage has spent a lifetime exploring spiritual traditions searching for the unifying elements that connect us. More than 15 years ago his search led him to the gongs, which seem to be a portal for connecting with the oneness that connects and permeates all things. He has developed a unique way of playing the gongs, as well as singing bowls and other instruments, to craft an immersive sound bath experience. Benjamin lives in the Northern Chicago suburbs and hosts gong events all over the Chicago area throughout the year. He is trained as a master with many of the leaders of this performance art and spiritual experience. More can be found about Benjamin at benjaminsavage.com
